116 ~ My worldly crown ~

This chapter is not relating to illness but I’ve included it here in connection to the previous chapter – about people who on probability assume the cause of my illness is my dress code.

The last cardiologist with whom I consulted, went on a lengthy rant that I need to recieve more unfiltered vitamin D… Whereas I am already on one of the best supplements obtainable on the market.

When I explained the way I’m clothed outside is not the way I’m clothed inside & that I am not deprived of sun, he was taken aback but not impressed & quite sarcastic 🙄

Kindly take note: I am only clarifying my opinion & reasons for the way I dress. I am not being critical or judging people who do otherwise.

The poem below has been written based on a collection of experiences & cases witnessed

After an era of ignorance Islaam elevated my status as a female

So I will never be apologetic for standing out with my veil

A muslimah’s identity is preserved with the Hijaab and Niqaab

Please know – none have compelled me to don this garb

So respect my personal choice

A decision in which I rejoice

By concealing my shape I gain true freedom

Emphatically! This system contains deep wisdom

It is meant to avert the cast of a man’s lustful glance

The piercing arrow of a stray eye finds no chance

It elevates the honor of a woman’s body

For I, am not to be made an object of slavery

My conscience does not permit me to go about partly naked

Personally I consider a woman’s body as more sacred

I am a muslimah, not a showpiece for all and sundry

Not all males are allowed to see the way I beautify.

From many others untold here is only one brief incident

Exposing the evil hidden intentions of a vile miscreant

An “uncle” who displayed to his niece, expressions of lust

That day shattered the concept of blood related trust

Regardless of age, people fall prey to temptation and cannot resist

In the present era, a notion of being safe with anyone does not exist

So believe me when I state; “Surely Hijaab is my protective cover

And a unique method to ward off unwanted disaster”

Neither of the two deprive me from living a life completely normal

I also pursue interests and leisure that are enjoyable

The niqaab was donned out of my own accord from a young age

Please do not assume I am stifled or imprisoned in a “cage”

I am not a terrorist

Nor an extremist

So called – “oppression vs liberation” the west chants and screams

What then about the content being portrayed on their screens?

Where woman admit they are subtly and subconsciously indoctrinated

Appearances have specific standards set, else you will not be accepted

Size, skin, eyes

Weird hair dyes

Make-up I do not deny

In fact, often I also apply

But that is not a criteria for true value

Loosen focus on just the outer I argue;

It is unfair for my level of intelligence and success to be judged and defined

A concealed body does not implicate the brain is backward or confined

I hear the sympathy and cynical tone: “poor girl, shame”

But for your lack of insight I’d remark the very same

Offer me all the wordly commodities that pleases your fancy

Howbeit, nothing can be exchanged for the preservation of dignity

Hijaab is my wordly crown

Taunts will not put me down

You’re free to jeer

For I do not fear

Modesty is an integral branch of faith onto which I cling

If I lose this characteristic I could loose everything

People are entitled to disagree

But know! This is how I am free

Modesty is an all-inclusive word

With all senses it should be observed

Never forget the Queen of the woman of paradise

A paragon whom we can only exclaim surprise

So to dress in this fashion I am “proud

And my views will be expressed aloud

Hijaab is my wordly crown

I am unmoved if people frown

Attached here under is a beautiful poem on the topic of hijaab

  1. اسلام عليكم ورحمةالله وبركاته..
don’t ever feel the need to apologize about our way of dressing. My illness hit me , when I wasn’t in purdah. Loved the ocean. Was a regular person , actions in full sun.
What we have to understand that cases of arthritis and osteoporosis has increased in recent years.
Yet we go on all kinds of supplements. It just increases. Find me a model or actress that isn’t on hundreds of supplements. It goes to show that the fear of eating pure butter, pure milk, pure ghee etc has been replaced with synthetic foods. Hence all these problems.
The Banting or gluten free diet proves that our food is synthetic. It hasn’t the nutrients that we need.
So. My dear sister. Take heart that we please our اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى. And no one else.
May اللَّه سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى grant You aafiya آمين يا رب العالمين

جزاك الله خيرا for the wise words, beautiful advice & support shared dear Aapa. Truly appreciate the input & additional proof added…

    Agree 💯
To get proper supplements is also sometimes difficult. How many in the shelves are synthetic and sometimes cause more of a toxicity overload to the body.

امين و لك مثل ذلك خيرا 💙❤️
